World Heritage–listed Brickendon – one of the 11 Unesco World Heritage Australian Convict Sites – was established in 1824. The homestead is still occupied by by the Archer family, so you can’t see inside, but you can explore the gorgeous old gardens and the farm village, and take the 2.8km Brickendon Walk. There's animal feeding for the kids, trout biting in the river and accommodation also on offer.
