In the wharf shed opposite Seahorse World, Platypus House put the world’s only two monotremes – the platypus and the echidna – on display for your viewing pleasure. Platypuses gambol in glass-sided tanks and transparent ‘burrows’, while in the echidna room you can walk among these trundling creatures as guides dish out scientific facts. Tours run hourly.
