On the outskirts of town in the dairy township of Allansford, Cheese World is run by the Warrnambool Cheese & Butter factory, whose processing plant across the road has been in business since 1888. Here you can sample cheeses, visit its dairy farm museum (surprisingly worthwhile) and get one of its famous creamy milkshakes from the cafe.
