Helping ships navigate into the treacherous mouth of the Tamar River, whitewashed Low Head Pilot Station is Australia’s oldest (1805) and houses an interesting maritime museum cluttered with historical displays and mandatory rusty anchors. There's a cafe and accommodation , too.
