Alma Park Zoo

Queensland’s oldest zoo continues to offer wildlife experiences and conservation over 40 acres of sprawling parkland, including 12 acres of rainforest in the park. The zoo exhibits 100 species and over 200 animals, including baboons, dingos, pandas, antelope, monkeys, lemur, crocodiles, koalas, kangaroo, reptiles and farmyard animals.

Alma Park Zoo is well known for offering up-close and personal animal encounters, such as feeding the marmosets, red panda, kangaroos, alpacas and sheep and patting a snake. While some of these encounters must be booked and paid for, others are part of the general admission experience.

Visitors can also pack a barbeque lunch to use at the free zoo facilities, and make a day of the outdoor adventure.

Practical Info

Alma Park Zoo is located north of Brisbane, along the Bruce Highway. Trains from Brisbane to Dakabin Rail Station on the Caboolture line can also be used to reach the zoo, which is just under two kilometres walk or taxi from the station.
