Seal Rocks

Seal Rocks is a small coastal village that hugs Sugarloaf Bay in New South Wales. It is one of the few remaining coastal villages to have escaped any major development and is famous for its excellent surfing beaches and for the Seal Rocks lighthouse, officially known as Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse.
Seal Rocks’ main attributes are its long stretches of golden sand, surf-friendly waters, and numerous rock pools. Meanwhile, the Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse offers incredible views across the ocean. The path around the lighthouse leads to a lookout over Seal Rocks and there’s a gorge along the way with a detour to Lighthouse Beach – a particularly popular spot for surfers. Australian fur seals and humpback whales can often be spotted in this area, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

Seal Rocks is located approximately 275 kilometers northeast of Sydney and is best reached by road. There are a number of accommodation options in the area for those who wish to stay a while.
