As you approach Eaglehawk Neck from the north, turn east onto Pirates Bay Dr for eye-popping views across Pirates Bay, the Neck and the jagged coastline to the south.

Housed in the old hay-store building, this little museum tells the islands natural and human history, warts and all, including dark tales of shipwrecks and incarceration.

Wingham Brush Nature Reserve
A boardwalk traverses this idyllic patch of rainforest, home to giant Moreton Bay figs and flocks of flying foxes. You might even spot an osprey or a diamond python.

Yarriabini National Park
The highlight of this lush, rainforest-filled park are the dramatic coastal views from the summit of Mt Yarriabini, which is accessible via scenic Way Way Creek Rd.
