Centenary Methodist Church
For a rousing chorus of song on a Sunday morning, head to the Methodist church. The pitch is more invigorating than dulcet and it often fills the surrounding streets.

Namena Marine Reserve
Protected 70sqkm park housing corals so vibrant and marine life so plentiful that it’s become the poster child for Fiji’s underwater world. Its about a two-hour boat ride from Savusavu.

Naililili Catholic Mission
Catholic missionaries from France built the Naililili Catholic Mission at the turn of the 20th century. The stained-glass windows were imported from Europe and incorporate Fijian writing and imagery.

Suva Cemetery
If you entered town via the Queens Road, you likely passed Suva Cemetery. Graves are dug by the inmates from the prison (built in 1913) just down the road, and then decorated with bright cloth.

Former Town Hall
The former town hall (1901) is built in typical British colonial style (although not to celebrate Queen Victoria’s silver jubilee as is commonly thought), and under renovation to restore it to community use.
