Farepiti Point (Farepiti Wharf)

Farepiti Wharf is Bora Bora's deepest water wharf for large ships and is where inter-island boats come into Faanui Bay. It is also a main cargo shipping point and where you can purchase ferry tickets for inter-island travel, and catch a bus to Vaitape, the capital where you'll find the main dock if you need to catch a ferry.

Built by American soldiers during WWII, the wharf serves as a reminder of Operation Bobcat, the United States' strategic positioning in Bora Bora after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Just beyond the wharf you'll find another historical attraction, Marae Marotetini. Restored in 1968 by Professor Yosihiko Sinoto, Marae Marotetini was once the most important Polynesian temple in Bora Bora.

Next to Farepiti Wharf is also the Bora Bora Yacht Club. The space is the epitome of island luxury, with 25 anchorages, fresh seafood and meals made from locally-sourced ingredients, an expansive wine list, bamboo accents and beautiful views of the lagoon and luxury yachts, especially at sunset.
