Built to recognise the contribution of Chinese people to Dunedin since its earliest days, this walled garden was prefabricated in Shanghai before being dismantled then reassembled here. Its tranquil confines contain all of the elements of a classical Chinese garden, including ponds, pavilions, rockeries, stone bridges and a tea house. There's also a small display on the history of the local Chinese community.
