Grandiose and ghostly, Ferrowhite is the kind of landmark you see from far away and think 'what in the world is that?' The castle-like power plant, built by Italians in the 1930s, sits beside massive grain elevators on the edge of the bay. Now it holds a small museum and cafe. But half the fun is just walking around outside the abandoned structure with its elegant architecture and shattered windows: paranormal activity has been reported here many times over.
