This church and its accompanying convent of the same name were built in the early 20th century in an unadorned gothic style.

Built in 1544, this church is one of the citys oldest, and has an altarpiece designed by the important sculptor Juán Hernández.

There’s a small gateway carved with zoomorphic designs near the western end of Tiwanaku that is informally known as the Puerta de la Luna.
