On the waterfront, the Espaço Cultural da Marinha is a sailor’s delight. Moored along the dock are the Riachuelo submarine and the Bauru (a small WWII destroyer), which have been turned into floating museums. You’ll also find a 19th-century vessel used by Dom João VI, countless ship models, and maps and navigational instruments charting the history of imperial and Brazilian navigation.
