Reached by a 23km dirt road from the city of Linhares, on the northern coast of Espírito Santo, this reserve is the state headquarters for the turtle conservation organization Tamar. Here you can observe giant sea turtles in the reserve’s aquarium, or continue north 7km to visit the beach community of Regência, where residents earn their living from a combination of fishing and turtle conservation work.
