Tinhare Island

Five rural villages and plenty of quiet sandy beaches make up the tiny island of Tinhare, located in Cairu in the state of Bahia. Its palm-lined streets, tropical bars and traditional samba clubs make it a destination that’s as perfect for sun worshipers as it is for night-life lovers. 
Most travelers prefer to explore the island on foot, but a single tractor provides “taxi” service around Tinhare. Scenic boat trips, ocean sailing, dolphin trekking and general beach bumming prove the main draws to this tropical island.
