Constructed high on the mountainside in a marginalized neighborhood, this huge library is one of Medellín's most recognized landmarks and an emblem of the city's revival. At the time of research the entire structure was cloaked in a protective net after serious structural issues were identified, but it's still worth a trip up here to see another side of the city and take in the views from the adjacent park. It's next to the Santo Domingo Metrocable interchange.
