Parque Lleras

Medellin’s upscale entertainment district is wrapped around pleasant Parque Lleras, which gives the city’s most fashionable district a rather relaxed feel. Located in the Zona Rosa of the posh Poblado neighborhood, home to most of the city’s best hotels and youth hostels, this lively little neighborhood has packs dozens of fabulous restaurants, bars, clubs, and live music venues into a few square blocks. From Thursday through the weekend, it’s a non-stop party.

The thing to do is have your taxi drop you off right at the softly lit park, which allows you to wander around looking for the right menu and ambiance to suit your crew’s tastes. The neighborhood is quite safe for barhopping into the wee hours, but be prepared for cover charges and pricey drinks. Dress to impress and bring a picture ID.
