The INC, in a colonial building on Plaza San Juan de Dios, has information and displays about the area: plus a bundle of interesting information if you ask. There is a great bookshop here, whilst a small museum (under reconstruction until 2016) features Inca artifacts, fossils, displays of local costumes and paintings by Peruvian impressionist artists.
