Not for the fainthearted, the frenzied central market is divided into distinct areas: the meats, fish, fruits and vegetable section on the main floor and a bazaar-feeling clothing area on the second. The 'Witch's Market' (aka the Maroon Market; no photos) has a separate entrance just to the west on Waterkant, and sells herbs, bones, shells and mysterious concoctions. It's best to get to these markets before noon.
