Beaches are the big daytime draw in sunny Punta. On the peninsula's western (Río de la Plata) side, Rambla Gral Artigas snakes past calm Playa Mansa , then passes the busy yacht harbor , overflowing with boats, restaurants and nightclubs, before circling east to meet the open Atlantic Ocean. On the peninsula's eastern side, waves and currents are rougher, as reflected in the name Playa Brava (Fierce Beach) and in the surfers flocking to Playa de los Ingleses and Playa El Emir .
