What makes it special:Experience one of Asia’s last untouched island regions aboard one of Burma Boating’s 4 classic sailing yachts with full crew service and private chefs. The 800 untouched beaches still see less than 2,000 tourists per year. The local inhabitants still live in a hunter-gatherer society and travel in dugout canoes.
Burma Boating is a young yacht charter company founded in 2013 by a group of passionate sailors.
There are currently no hotels in the Mergui Archipelago so luxury sailing yachts remain the only way to visit this paradise. It’s a once in a lifetime experience, yet easy to reach via Phuket, Bangkok or Yangon.
Burma Boating’s runs some of the the most beautiful yachts in the Indian Ocean. Just recently, the classic schooner SY Sunshine joined the fleet, designed by the famous naval architect William Fife Jun. In 1906, the original Sunshine became the proud possession of the Portuguese Royal family. The layout of the interior, which is hand-crafted from teak and rosewood, has been improved to comply with all modern safety standards.
All yachts are equipped with water makers, generators, air-con, queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms.
