Duba Plains + Vumbura Plains
You will start at Duba Plains, which is set in the far North of the Okavango Delta and offers one of the best chances in Africa of seeing lions hunt buffalo yes you heard that correctly. People flock to this tiny luxury safari camp with the hopes of seeing two of Africas giants fight it out for survival. The vast concession which Duba sits in is completely private and has abundant natural game as well as a diversity of landscapes. You will then combine this with the ultra chic and luxurious Vumbura Plains, which is in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The game viewing on this itinerary couldnt be better.
Zarafa + San Camp
Many people only go to Botswana to visit the Okavango Delta which is such a shame, right there on your doorstep lies the Kalahari Desert and the Makgadikgadi Pans these vast areas hold many other delights such as the ancient San bushmen, meerkats and black maned Kalahari lions. Combine this with three nights spent mobile camping and canoeing at a leisurely pace down the gin clear shallow channels of the Selinda Spillway (a spillway which only flows for four or five months of the year) you will enjoy game viewing on the banks of the spillway, and will be travelling through an area where vehicles and man havent set foot!
