I know there’s been a lot of hoo-hah recently about airlines charging extra for preferred seating, with US Airways being the latest to say that preferred aisle and window seating in the front of its economy cabins will cost an extra $5 (unless you’re a Dividend Miles Preferred member). But isn’t it just inevitable that, as customers become more and more pre-occupied with getting cheap flights, the airlines will continue to turn to charge for meals, baggage, headphones, premium seating and anything else that they can think of to generate additional revenue? What’s your take on it all? Would you pay extra for a preferred seat?
