Founded in 1979, Sri Lankan Air is the flag carrier of Sri Lanka with its head office at the Airline Centre, on the grounds of the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. Its base and hub are both located at the Bandaranaike International Airport in the capital city, Colombo. Previously called Air Lanka, it consists of a fleet of 22 aircraft flying to 69 destinations covering 35 countries across Asia and Europe.
