Finnair established in the year 1923 is the largest flagship carrier of Finland. It has its headquarters in Vantaa and has its hub at Helsinki - Vantaa Airport. They are the World's fifth oldest and safest airline with uninterrupted existence, with almost nil fatal accidents since 1963. This airline joined the one world alliance in 1999 and offers services to 65 destinations in 30 countries with large number of international flights across Asia. The Helsinki hub of the airline acts as a gateway between Europe and Far East.

The airline offers two classes of services viz. Business Class and Economy Class. Meals and beverages including alcohol are offered for free in Business Class, whereas in Economy class additional food items and alcoholic beverages are offered at a price. Finnair aircrafts offers personal entertainment systems or LCD video monitors, mute television programs and moving map systems. Some of the aircrafts like Airbus A330, A340 are equipped with personal entertainment system AVOD on all seats with approximately 34 movies, 60 music albums, 100 TV shows, 16 games are made available.

They have currently orders for Airbus A321-200 - 5 nos., Airbus A350-900 - 11 nos. The airline's offers frequent flyer programs called Finnair Plus whereby the passengers are awarded points based on the class and type of flight they traveled. In addition to this membership tier like Basic, Silver, Gold or Platinum is awarded to the passengers once they achieve enough miles to the account. Platinum members have benefits such as priority boarding and premium check-in desks.
