The use of mobile phones on planes has long been put on hold because it was feared that it compromised a plane’s own radio communications and safety. More recently, however, airlines have begun testing the use of mobile phones on flights. Personally, I’m not a big fan of that prospect – I’d sooner travel in peace and quiet than have to listen to one half of someone’s conversation, but maybe the same isn’t felt by business travellers. If you’re like me, you might want to add yourself to The Daily Telegraph petition which has already amassed around 3,500 ‘signatures’ at the time of writing.
