Yotel, the radical hotel concept unveiled at last year’s World Travel Market, confirmed in December that it will open its first two hotels at London Heathrow and London Gatwick in mid-2006. The move follows a major investment by Kuwaiti-based IFA Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of International Financial Advisors (IFA). At Heathrow, the Yotel will open in terminal 4 with 40 cabins, and at Gatwick in the south terminal with 50 cabins. The luxury low cost Yotel cabin rooms will feature a rotating bed, pull down desks, monsoon showers and flat screen TVs.
