There is also a private museum for travellers to explore. The Albertinia Museum has preserved the towns historical and cultural treasures, and now proudly displays them for locals and tourists alike to appreciate.

Franschhoek Motor Museum
The Franschhoek Motor Museum is a treat for any vehicle enthusiast, as it houses a collection of vintage and rare cars. View vehicles which were first used in the early 1900s to some of the more modern classics, such as the Aston Martin DB4 GT.

Sutherland
Known as the Gateway to the Universe, Sutherland is a remote town in Karoo which is famed for its clear star-speckled skies. The South African Large Telescope (SALT) Observatory is located here, which is the largest telescope in the Southern Hemisphere. Nothing could be more romantic than gazing up at the night sky and witnessing the constellations in all their splendour.
