The internationally acclaimed Sani Gourmet Festival has been announced for the 10th19th May 2013. This year the Gourmet Festival, held at the luxurious Sani Resort in Greece, will be focusing on the evolution and development of traditional Greek dishes over the years, and how they have been passed on and evolved through the generations. This food lovers event will feature local Greek chefs as well as Michelin starred chefs from around the world, who will be battling it out to create the most innovative interpretations of key Greek staples, offering exciting new recipes for the future of Greek gastronomy.
Over the years, the resort has welcomed sixty-six chefs from twenty-seven countries with thirty-eight Michelin stars between them. 2013 will be bigger and better than ever – ten incredible chefs have been confirmed for the event. Amongst them will be:
Hector Botrini, the quadrilingual restaurateur whose restaurant Etrusco has recently been awarded the best restaurant in Greece
Giorgos Venieris, one of the worlds most promising chefs whose New Greek Cuisine at his restaurant Mazi in London, is constantly creating impact
Nena Ismyrnuglou, one of the worlds most celebrated female Greek chefs
Nikos Karathanos, chef at the Michelin star restaurant Hytra in Athens
