Historic and beautiful Boone Hall Plantation will be the venue for the 24th Annual Lowcountry Oyster Festival, held on 28th January 2007 in Mount Pleasant, SC. This family-oriented event will feature an incredible 65,000 lbs of oysters! Oyster shucking and eating contests, two tractor-trailer loads of single select oysters sold by the bucket, live music, games and activities will form the entertainment. Sponsored by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, it has been named one of the “Top 20 Events in the Southeast” by the Southeastern Tourism Society. Gates open at 10.30 am.
