It’s obviously the season for wine festivals in California. In addition to Walnut Creek Wine Festival, this weekend will also be the 23rd Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival held at Lake Skinner, CA which is expected to attract around 40,000 visitors across today and the weekend. This ‘festival within a festival’ gives you an opportunity to go on a hot air ballon flight; the exact destination of your flight will be unknown (depending on the where the breezes take you) but the organisers promise to return you to the festival venue afterwards where you’ll no doubt be able to do a spot of wine tasting.
