Minnesota ATV Resort- An Overview

You can come on out and stay with us at Soo Line Trail Campground near Onamia, Minnesota and take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the 148 mile long Soo Line ATV trail running from Moose Lake to Cass Lake. You will find yourself lost in the fall colors as you ride through Hill River State Forest, Bowstring State Forest, and Chippewa National Forest.

If you are not an ATV rider you can always bring out your snowmobiles and stay in one of their rustic suites at Soo Line Trail Campground from Friday to Sunday throughout the winter months. During this time you will find an 11 mile stretch of snowmobile trails located between Onamia and Isle, Minnesota. The ATV season runs from April 1 to November 30, meaning snowmobile season begins December 1 and goes until March 31.

Onamia and the Mille Lacs area also have many great attractions and dining to enjoy. Start out your days at Onamia's Cedarwood Family Restaurant with daily breakfast specials. For those looking for some afternoon site seeing, check out the Mille Lacs Indian Museum and maybe a stop in at Happy's Drive-In to grab lunch and an ice cream cone. In the evening you can cast your luck at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs or catch the latest flick at Grand Makwa Cinema. For those who are more active, head up the road to Isle Bowl & Pizza.

Whatever your plans Soo Line Trail Campground and the Mille Lacs area is a wonderful weekend getaway destination! The Mille Lacs Lake MN Area offers ATV trails for beginners to experts. Go solo or with a group and enjoy the longest ATV trail in Minnesota as the Soo Line leads you to the recently completed Red Top ATV Trail, the challenging Ten Bruin Adventure Trail and the Solana State. Specific trails may open on different dates so check before you ride.

Off-highway vehicles (OHVs) include all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), off-highway motorcycles (OHMs) and off-road vehicles (ORVs), such as 4x4s.Responsible riders are safe riders. Anyone born after July 1, 1987 must complete the ATV CD Training Course before operating an ATV. All non-residents must purchase a non-resident ATV pass or non-resident ORV pass to ride on state or grant-in-aid trails.

A different 114-mile trail commences at Saunders Junction, Wisconsin (near Superior). The Soo Line South ATV Trail runs in a southwesterly direction through Douglas County Wisconsin, and through Carlton, Pine, Aitkin, Mille Lacs, and Morrison Counties in Minnesota, ending at the city of Genola.
