THE SETTING

Yandina Station is a country estate and working cattle property stretching across 220 acres of pristine land filled with Eucalyptus and Moreton Bay fig trees, country wildlife and Brando Brahman Studs (cool looking cows with big humps on their backs). The secluded cottages are an ideal place to escape the daily grind.

THE SPACE

The luxurious light-filled cottages are spaced out across the property to ensure guests receive the privacy they deserve. With the sound of rain hitting the roof and the fresh smell of eucalyptus tress in the air, it's the simple beauty of nature that becomes your addiction. So quickly get your social media fix and turn off your devices for the weekend, ensuring you make the most of the stunning surroundings.

THE KIT

All the mod cons are here: docking devices, two flat-screen tv's, microwave, oven, stove tops, full size fridge, air cons, ceiling fans, bath tub, king size beds, big mirrors (great for pre-wedding accommodation).

COMFORT FACTOR

You can pack as little or as much as you like. The cottage has ample blankets to wrap yourself in as you sip tea and laze on the large timber deck. Comfort has really been considered at Yandina Station with many choices of relaxation at your disposal: cushion-filled deck chairs, several lounges and even a warm bath of bubbles.

FOOD

Whether you fancy vegemite on toast or a fancy lamb roast, Yandina is fully self-catered. The local grocery store is just down the road (approx 15min). Alternatively you can collect fresh produce from the roadside markets as you make your way to the property. Farmhouse style breakfast hampers and champagne are also available upon request.

WORTH STEPPING OUT FOR

If you fancy getting out and about there are a few places worth noting: The Spirit House, The Ginger Factory and Nutworks & Chocolate Factory are all down the road. It's only 30 minutes to Noosa's Main Beach and Peregian Beach and 20 minutes to the Eumundi markets.  Alternatively there is plenty to do at Yandina Station. Explore the 220 acres and take some photos as the sun sets over the rustic cattle station, have a chat with the cows, even strap on the Ergo Baby carrier and take a bush walk.

THE VERDICT

Yandina is stunning, picturesque and rustic but it's the local charm and warmth of the owners Sal and Neil that made our visit extra special. From weddings and weekend retreats to baby moons (and post-baby getaways), you'll have at least one reason to convince your other half to pack a bag for the weekend. Get outdoors and enjoy Queensland!
