One thing I really enjoy doing [when I get the time] is to go through the photo images I have taken over the decades of travel in Indonesia and in particular Bali. No place in Indonesia has changed so much than Bali and the tourist strip in particular.
From a once peaceful fishing village, Kuta has developed to now become the centre of an extensive tourist-oriented urban area that merges into neighbouring towns. Kuta has crowded lines of shopping and dining centres and gone are the dusty dirt tracks being now replaced by asphalt. Bali is developing far too fast and in my opinion. But hey, that’s progress. Bali will still be, in many years to come, a popular and cheap destination for travellers around the globe.
