A relaxing and healthy and adventurous way to explore Bali is by bicycle. Although not highly recommended in the tourist strip, cycling in Bali has increasingly become popular as a way to see not only the countryside, but as a way to meet Balinese villagers in their daily life and experiencing the culture.

One particular company that has to my attention of late is BaliStar Cycling. They offer a good selection of routes on the island and each of interest to all ages.
Reasonably priced, BaliStar Cycling offers pick-up service at your hotel and take you to the starting point of your cycling journey, and after, returns you to the hotel. Also included in the cost of a cycling tour are helmets, a good serviced bike and a Balinese guide. The delight is that lunch is also a part of the tour cost as is fresh drinking water.
