Don’t you just hate Murphy’s Law. Whenever you have something planned right down to the most minute detail there always seems to be interference. Our short-long walk to Tanah Lot along the coast was soon halted late last night when a friend of ours who lives near Pura Petitenget phoned and said the whole beach had been washed out due to the massive storm. This also means that the river crossing near Seseh would have been impossible. So thanks to Mother Nature and her violent electrical storm and persistent heavy rain we had to cancel the journey much to the disappointment of all concerned in the walk. However, all is not lost and a re-schedule for this Sunday morning is on and if the beaches are still a bit worse for wear the new will use horses. Yeah I know, it’s not the same as walking but it is still an adventure.
Shortly I will be introducing a new selection of articles on WhyGo Bali called ‘Off the Beaten Track’. These detailed articles will give readers an insight into a lot of places on the island rarely seen by travellers and in fact, tourists. Off the Beaten Track will feature things to see and do, places to stay and a detailed step-by-step route.
I do have a few other sections to be introduced in the near future so, look out for them and utilise the resources available on this site to discover all you need to know about the island of a 1,000 temples.
