Singapore is a shopper’s paradise, partly because of the choice and partly because food places are never far away. After picking up my new plastic umbrella at a local pharmacy for S$5.50, I strolled down Orchard Rd. the main street and entered Lucky Plaza. You really have to come here, even if you don’t plan on buying anything.
Lucky Plaza has several floors providing an array of goods and services including electronics, shoes and jewelry. On the 4th floor I’m using A.J. Internet Cafe, a branch of the place I mentioned yesterday. Speed is okay, hardware average. Just around the corner from A.J’s are a couple of Filipino shops including a cafe. I’ve just got to get in there for some food later!
Singaporeans seems polite and are quick to answer a question when you have one. English is widely spoken. Bahasa Malaysia is slightly different than Indonesian, but I could get my point across if necessary.
