Tanah Lot is overloaded with commercial stuff, but today I did buy something. As Devin and I checked out the fresh water spring at the base of the temple, it began to rain. The obvious thing to do was to head for one of the warungs overlooking the temple and have a cup of tea. Warung Segara looks down directly onto Pura Tanah Lot. One gets the impression the vendors at Tanah Lot have seen better days, the warungs virtually empty, the wet weather not helping. I ordered a hot tea for 8,000rp, which did the job. The commercial activities at Tanah Lot operate round the hours of tour buses. There are no temple dances, like the ones at Uluwatu, so the evenings are quiet.
