Happy New Year from Bali. 2007 is here, and I hope all Baliblog readers fulfull thier goals in the coming year.
The refreshing, blustery weather really cooled us down yesterday, meaning the air was comfortable and fresh. In my neighborhood, the Castro District (Seminyak), bars and nightclubs were gearing up for the big party. Ika’s mother is in town and wanted to see how New Years is celebrated here. Ika, Awang, Ningrum, mother in law and Jevon, took off on motorbikes at 10pm for Kuta Beach. Locals and tourists gather there every New Years to watch fireworks. Feeling relaxed and contented, I toyed with the idea of joining them, but the traffic wasn’t something I was up for. Around the corner from my house, Jl. Dhyana Pura was starting to rock, but instead I watched a self improvement DVD, followed by the Bourne Supremacy. To be honest I was very content and went to bed at 12.30am thinking I’d had a good evening.
Lets’ make 2007 a year to remember.
