Free wi-fi sounds like a dream come true, and it is certainly a benefit to a lot of people. In the last year many places have installed a wi-fi system, sometimes charging for it, other times not. One business owner asked me my thoughts on charging for wi-fi. I told him the primary attraction of wi-fi for users , is the ability to use their own machine. Secondary consideration is speed, third, location / cost. If you ask a guy with a laptop to choose between a free place, that is slow, or a place that charges, but has a fast connection, he’ll end up at the second place. Maybe not straight away, but eventually. I have been using Joulla’s on Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak. Joulla’s is a German restaurant, that also does Indo food.
Getting online is easy, just turn on your machine, get into search for a wi-fi connection and get online. The process took me 2 minutes. I have had experience of plugging in at a wi-fi place, and a power surge damaging my machine while working. now I work off of batteries, which gives me about an hour of juice. After that, I can move down to an internet cafe, and use thier machine. Joulla’s does a lovely beef and vegetable curry called Empul, which is highly recommended.
Joulla’s is open from 10am-1am
