Merry Christmas from Bali. Sitting here at a wf-fi place on Jl. Dhyana Pura in Seminyak, with my new laptop, there is no indication it is Christmas. Temperature is around 30C and the atmoshere is steamy. Great beach weather and for someone who doesn’t like Christmas, Bali is the ideal getaway. Friends of mine were going to Mass last night, and had to leave my bbq early around 7pm. Some staff at bars / restaurants around town are wearing small Santa hats and some places offer a Christmas dinner. Kori Restaurant on Poppies Lane II in Kuta usually does one. But really, in this heat, most people can’t be bothered.
Toby & Maya are staying at Hotel Sarinande in Seminyak. This morning I went over to help them out moving and doing laundry, and a staff member wished me Merry Christmas. Back at my house, my mother in law bought a kids paddling pool, so Maya and Jevon can splash around in the garden. We’ll be lucky to ever get him out of it.
