Sanur is not famous for its nighttime entertainment, but there are a few things going on. The Cat & Fiddle Pub on Jl. Camara #36, has Irish folk music night every Tuesday, anyone is welcome to get up and join in. Starts at 8pm. Admission free.
Many hotels in Sanur feature traditional Balinese dancing. This will be advetised at each hotel and is usually a once a week event. Restaurants along the main street, Jl. Danau Tamblingan also offer Balinese dancing on occassion, advertising it on a board outside. The Grand Bali Beach Hotel has a ‘cultural evening’ with buffet dinner and Balinese dancing (Mon, Wed, Fri at 7pm. Other places where you might see Balinese dancing include Bali Wirasana Hotel, Swastika Garden 2, Lotus Pond.
Arena Sports Bar is a fun place to catch a soccer match or a game of Aussie Rules. Located at Jl. ByPass I Gusti Ngurah Rai 115, it is easy to get to, for people staying along Jl. Danau Tamblingan. If Sanur isn’t lively enough for you, jump into a cab and head to Kuta (nightclubs located on lower Jl. Legian) or to Seminyak (bars & nightclubs located at the end of Jl. Double Six and on Jl. Dhyana Pura).
