Yesterday I wrote an article about the Gili Islands. Baliblog reader Peter sent me some extra info.
“Having been in padangbai in september i noticed a new (it wasn’t there in march) daily boat-service directly
from padangbai to gili (trawagan ?) by boat i mean a re-built jukung-type-of-boat.
Supposedly a 4-5 hour trip – weather permitting… i can’t recall the name of the company and i don’t know the official schedule but as said, it’s a daily service – it arrives every day at padangbai around 13:00 and heads back to gili again 30-45 minutes later it seemed full (25-30 people ?) every day in/out of padangbai.”
