For a limited time, JR’s “Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket”, available exclusively for foreign tourists, gives discounted travel access from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. The Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket allows you to take a round-trip train ride from anywhere within Tokyo to Otsuki station on JR East limited express trains (reserved seat) and rapid (reserved seat) and local trains.
Also included are two days of unlimited rides on local and rapid trains, as well as the Fuji-san Tokkyu (non-reserved seat) between Otsuki and Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyuko Line. Two days of unlimited rides between the bus stops at Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko stations and the Fifth Station of Mt. Fuji bus stop on the Fuji Tozan ‘Climbing Mountain’ Bus are also included.
Cost is just 5,600 yen (adults 12 and over) and 2.600 yen (kids ages 6-11). It is recommended for day tours as well as travelers staying overnight to climb Mt. Fuji. This special price saves about half off the price of the regular fare. Tickets are available at Narita Airport and Haneda Airport as well as many tourist information centres in Tokyo and Yokohama.
