Starting in April, 2014, the Tokyo Metro Company and the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation have started sales of the new Tokyo Subway Ticket which allows tourists to enjoy unlimited discount rides on the nine Tokyo Metro lines and four Toei Subway lines. The new Tokyo Subway Ticket will be available to domestic and international tourists for a great price lower than the Common 1-day Ticket for Tokyo Metro & Toei Subway.
Discount Tokyo Subway Tickets
The new Tokyo Subway 1-Day Ticket is valid for one day of unlimited travel and costs only ¥800 (Child ¥400), the 2-day ticket is valid for two consecutive days of unlimited travel and costs ¥1,200 (Child ¥600), and the 3-day ticket is valid for three consecutive days of unlimited travel and costs ¥1,500 (Child ¥750).
Sleeping Sumo on Tokyo Metro
These discounted tickets are only available to overseas visitors, and domestic visitors residing outside the Greater Tokyo Area (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma and Yamanashi).
These new Tokyo Subway Tickets are intended to make travel in Tokyo more convenient and economical for visitors setting the stage for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics and are available for sale at Airport sales counters at Narita Airport and Haneda Airport or through regional travel agencies.
