The 4-Star Hotel Rocore Naha is a large new facility located just off of Kokusai-dori in downtown Naha. The 222 rooms have seven different room types to accommodate all travelers, from the single business traveler to families to those with special needs. The smallest are like those found in most business hotels, small but attractively decorated.
The larger suites have several adjoining spaces for comfortable longer stays. Non-smoking rooms are offered, and wheelchairs, strollers, and cribs are also available. Ladies get a special welcome pack with things like lotion and a facial mask upon check-in.
Aletta, the restaurant, features buffet meals with both Japanese and Western foods which is very good and worth going to even if you are not staying at the hotel, it really is that good! It also has Okinawan dishes made from local ingredients. The breakfast buffet is a recommended way to start your day of sightseeing. It is open from 7 to 10 am, and costs 1500 yen for adults or 800 yen for children elementary school age or younger. Lunch is served from 11 am to 3 pm and dinner is from 6 to 10 pm.
The staff is very helpful to non-Japanese travelers and make sure guests are taken care of for directions around the city and finding places like Tsuboya pottery street which we just loved. The FamilyMart on the ground floor is great to stock up on snacks and drinks before heading off to explore Okinawa.
The Hotel Rocore Naha is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the Kenchome Station of the Okinawa Monorail which links directly to Naha airport, very convenient. It is a good base for exploring the city.
