The Tokyo Dome is Japan’s first domed, all-weather stadium, built in 1988. It is home of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team. As well as holding over 60 baseball games per year, the Tokyo Dome is a popular venue for concerts, other sports, and exhibits such as the annual International Quilt Festival.
The Tokyo Dome is the centerpiece of Tokyo Dome City, an extensive complex of shops, restaurants, attractions and entertainment venues including LaQua with the slogan “Enjoying self-refreshment in the heart of Tokyo”.
The Meets Port is a recently completed facility built around Tokyo Dome City Hall. It has a multi-purpose event hall equipped with the state of the art sound system and lighting for music concerts, theater, musicals, combat sports and even circuses as well as excellent restaurants and lighter dining options and snacks.
Korakuen Hall is known for its world-caliber martial arts events. Korakuen Hall also hosts boxing and pro-wrestling events year round. It has been the site of many famous matches and is known as “the home of the rumble in Japan.”
Theatre G-Rosso is a 765 seat event theater used year round, mainly to host the Hero Action Show, Tokyo Dome City’s signature event. The 30 minute show is on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays with tickets for 1,500 yen (ages 3 and up).
