NTT Broadband Platform Inc. will be introducing free Wi-Fi service on all Toei buses operated by the Tokyo metropolitan government by next March.
The company said in a statement posted on its website that the service will debut Dec 20 on buses running between Shimbashi and Shibuya via Roppongi (routes “To 01” and “Shinya 01”). By the end of March free Wi-Fi service will be available on all 1,452 Toei buses operating in Tokyo by March 31. Toei bus will become the first shuttle bus operator in Tokyo to offer free Wi-Fi service to passengers.
Passengers will be able to use the Wi-Fi service as many times as they wish, up to 180 minutes per session.
Four languages are available (Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean) on the Wi-Fi login where you will need to accept the terms of service and then register with any email address to use.
