Located next to Meiji Mura’s Kanazawa Prison, the Roman Meiji Western-Style Omurice and Grill Restaurant 明治の洋食屋 オムライス&グリル浪漫亭 is an excellent choice for the whole family. Even if you are not adventurous about food, the omurice omelets filled with fried rice and hamburger patties in gravy are sure to please.
These foods are a fusion of western and Japanese cooking, and have become popular home-cooking staples. The menu is not extensive, but reasonable with omurice starting at 880 yen.
The Roman Restaurant in Meiji Mura (in Inuyama, near Nagoya), has 110 seats and is open from 10:30 am to 5 pm March through October, and 11 am to 4 pm from November through February. It is not far from the Imperial Hotel or the North Exit.
The Meiji Mura website is only in Japanese, but there are pictures of the food and restaurant interior: http://www.meijimura.com/enjoy/eat/gourmet/03.html
