Only a minute walk from the Hikone Station in Hikone, Shiga Prefecture, Ginsui is a popular restaurant featuring many different kinds of fish, both salt and freshwater. There are traditional offerings of sushi, but many regional variations and cooked dishes as well. They offer a large selection of a la carte dishes: Ohmi beef and Funazushi (fermented crucian carp) which are famous specialty of Shiga, and blowfish (winter only), and wide selection of local sake from Shiga.

Reservations are required at Ginsui restaurant as it is popular. Your hotel concierge can help assist for reservations. There is seating at the counter, and in private rooms. Hours are from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 11 pm. Ginsui is closed on Sundays.
